Senior Software Engineer L1
Gotransverse is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer L1 to join our fast-growing SaaS billing and Revenue Management solution on the Engineering team. You will elevate our platform through the development of new Services and APIs and collaborate closely with engineers, UI designers, and product managers, contributing to software quality and best practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Work cross-functionally with senior-level engineers across the organization.
- Mentor and guide peers, sharing expertise to aid in their development.
- Design integration architecture to address business problems comprehensively.
- Research and recommend frameworks and design patterns.
- Approach problem-solving holistically, considering structure, process, and technology.
- Identify outdated processes and recommend non-disruptive improvements.
- Communicate project status to technical leadership through written and oral reports.
- Ensure system documentation is complete and up to date.
Requirements snapshot (what you bring):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Java back-end and JavaScript front-end development (any framework).
- Experience with scalable, event-driven systems.
- Proficiency with Spring and Hibernate ORM frameworks or similar.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, and event-streaming with Kafka (experience or understanding with Redis, Postgres, or ElasticSearch).
- Ability to identify and address project- and team-level business problems.
- Strong understanding of aligning team goals with business needs.
